Welcome to the Agawak Wilderness Trips Program!

We are looking forward to Summer 2017 and all of the new trips & exciting changes we have in store.  We have some great adventures planned and are very excited to meet all of you!

All of Agawak's tripping staff have extensive trip guiding experience which ranges from backpacking, hiking, openwater guiding- to wintersports, mountaineering, and international excursions among much more!   Our lead guides are certified Wilderness First Responders (WFR).  WFR's have extensive training related to medical care in the backcountry.  Because wilderness emergency situations typically occur in areas where there is delayed time to advanced care (ie., hospitals and doctors) due to the remoteness of the location & methods of evacuation available, Wilderness First Responders are trained in advanced life support, dislocation reduction & medical oxygen & drug administration as well as rescue & evacuation techniques.  Checkout just how intense the scenario-based training of a WFR course is below....
